The aveda institute of Los Angeles offers a unique learning environment in cosmetology through hands-on, real-world experience. aveda, located in westwood, california, inspires students to exceed expectation and seek lifelong learning beyond the traditional classroom. Aveda promotes the concept that education encompasses more than learning basic technical skills. Our cosmetology curriculum is specifically designed to prepare beauty school students for the state licensing examination and allow them to learn the technical, personal and business skills necessary to work in a professional salon environment.

Earth Month

Earth Month is here and that means that Aveda Institute Los Angeles is buzzing with activity. Join us for one of our events listed below!

Beauty For The Earth

On Wednesday, March 30, Aveda Institute Los Angeles will provide complimentary haircuts, makeup applications, polish changes and stress relieving treatments to raise awareness for its Earth Month fundraising activities.

Donations to our Earth Month partner, Surfrider Foundation, will graciously be accepted but not required during this event. Aveda Institute Los Angeles students and staff are raising $15,000 this year for the charity.

Guests interested in attending Aveda Institute’s “Beauty for the Earth” event can call 310.209.2000 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  One hundred percent of the donations received will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation.

Earth Jam 2011

The Scott J Salon Artistic Team from New York City, together with the Aveda Institute Los Angeles Student/Educator Team, will sponsor a Fashion Night Benefit Monday, May 2, from 6:30-10pm at the Grand Horizon Room on the UCLA campus.
