Aveda Los Angeles Cares
Each month Aveda Institute Los Angeles partners with a different local charity to raise money and awareness through our “Tip for a Cause” program. In lieu of a tip, Aveda Institute guests have the opportunity to donate to our cause for that month.
Aveda Institute Los Angeles also hosts various events both at the institute and at outside venues to help raise additional funds for our monthly tip for a cause partners. Throughout 2010, we worked with the Boys and Girls Club of America, SPCA of LA, Surfrider Foundation, Matter of Trust, Saving Grace Los Angeles, UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, Downtown Women’s Center, Breast Cancer Awareness, Los Angeles Regional Foodbank and Toys for Tots.

Our premier fund-raising event each year is our Earth Jam fashion show. This year’s event will be held May 2, with all proceeds to benefit the Surfrider Foundation.
Aveda Institute Los Angeles has raised more than $88,000 for charity since we opened our doors in January 2008.
This Month’s Charity
In lieu of a tip, guests may participate in our Tip For A Cause program. For the month of January all tips will go directly to our Student Education Fund. All donations will benefit our students by providing opportunities for continuing education through various school-sponsored activities, including:
- Guest speakers and artist
- Fashion shows
- Special awards and acknowledgements
