Summer 2011 Trends

We have quite a few fashion shows we are working on right now including the UCLA Anderson School of Business fashion show which happened yesterday, May 19, 2011 and FAST Fashion’s ‘Illumination’ show which is scheduled for next Wednesday, May 25th, 2011. In preparation for these shows I have doing some research on 2011 summer trends for hair and make-up. When looking for this information the first places I go to are always major fashion magazines and websites because, well, that’s what they’re good at! The first place I landed was the Harper’s Bazaar website where they listed some really great summer 2011 trends. As for make-up they said that liquid eyeliner is key to this seasons trends mentioning that just top eyeliner will be a huge trend as well as brightly colored lips of all shades and sizes! For hair color we will be seeing the use of really subtle highlights which will help to accentuate colors that might otherwise be dull. As for hairstyles we will see the comeback of both up-dos and the ‘half-up’ look using volume to modernize each look. Can’t wait to see all these looks walking the streets!
